Morphological Filters

چکیده
A morphological lter is an increasing operator which is idempotent. This paper introduces the reader into the theory of morphological lters. It discusses openings and closings and alternating sequential lters. Furthermore it explains how to construct morphological lters by iteration. In this respect, an important class of morphological operators are the activity-extensive operators. The paper also explains how to build self-dual morphological operators and lters.
